Dr. Girish has over 25 years of international experience as a social entrepreneur and has successfully addressed various social issues. His patented technology invention, titled Save the Baby Girl has successfully addressed the female feticide issue and has saved over a million girls from getting aborted, for which he is called as Father of a Million Girls.
After the save the baby girl success, he started working on mental health issue in 2014 and formed Texas School of Mental Health in Brownwood, Texas, USA in the year 2019 and later expanded to Netherlands, Dubai and India.
Experience
Over 25 years of experience at International LevelDr. Girish Lad is the founding chairman of the Texas School of Mental Health. After his management studies, he launched his own venture in the IT sector, expanding it to Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. By 2004, he returned to India and established Magnum Opus, a company aimed at providing technology solutions to address social issues.
Dr. Lad has developed various technological solutions for government departments including health, revenue, the Election Commission of India, agriculture, land records, police, sports, and disaster management. One of his significant contributions is the technological invention known as "Save the Baby Girl," which addresses illegal sex determination and female feticide. Over the past 15 years, this invention has been implemented in more than 125 districts across India, involving over 5000 hospitals including AIIMS, Apollo, and Fortis, saving over a million girls from being aborted. For this achievement, he has been honored as the "father of a million girls."
In 2015, Dr. Lad recognized the importance of mental health and began working in this field. His decade-long study of the Bhagavad Gita helped him understand the relationship between philosophy and psychology.
Dr. Lad's work and inventions have been recognized by numerous dignitaries, including the late President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and Narayan Murthy, as well as various Chief Ministers in India. He has been nominated for the Prime Minister's Award and has received several international and national awards, including the JP Morgan Times of India Social Honors, Nasscom Foundation Award, e-India Award, Manthan South East Asia Honors, Skoch Award, and International Star Quality Award in Geneva. His inventions have been featured in documentaries by international and national news agencies, including BBC World News.
He is an international member of the International Psycho-Oncology Society, the American Psychological Association, and serves as an academic council member at MGM University.
