Texas School of Mental Health Inducts 2nd Batch of PG Diploma in Psycho-Oncology

The Texas School of Mental Health (TSMH) welcomed its 2nd Batch of the Postgraduate Diploma in Psycho-Oncology (PGDPO) with a structured induction program. The three-day event introduced students to the institute’s vision, academic structure, and faculty team, setting the tone for their transformative journey in the field of psycho-oncology.

The inaugural session featured notable addresses by Dr. Girish Lad, Founder & Chairman of TSMH, and Dr. Narendra Nigalye, Founder Director of TSMH-USA, who spoke about the growing importance of psycho-oncology in global healthcare. Veronica Cardenas, CEO & Founder of the Center for Psycho-Oncology Care (CPOC), also shared valuable insights on international practices in psycho-oncology. The session was anchored by Ms. Alafiya, Course Coordinator at TSMH.

The orientation program was led by Dr. Tahreen Syed, Director & Head of the Center for Psycho-Oncology, who introduced the students, faculty, and course framework. Ms. Nishigandha Patil, Senior Program Manager, and Dr. Archana Ainapure, Vice President of TSMH Finishing School Division, elaborated on methodology, assessments, and rules, ensuring students had clarity on their academic pathway.

The induction concluded with a Learning Management System (LMS) training session, conducted by the academic and technical team, including Mr. Khushal Khule and Ms. Nishigandha Patil, equipping students with the necessary tools for digital learning.

The successful completion of the induction for the 2nd Batch of PGDPO reinforced TSMH’s mission to combine science with empathy, preparing professionals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
